cNODE MiniS

cNODE MiniS is a compact family of subsea acoustic transponders for positioning remotely operated vehicles, towfish and other underwater targets. The units support more than 500 Cymbal wideband channels, SSBL and LBL ranging, responder operation and Fast Track updates. Pressure housings rated to 4,000 or 7,000 metres and multiple transducer arrangements cover different installation and depth requirements.

An internal tilt sensor can transmit target attitude alongside position data, while RS232 and acoustic telemetry provide configuration paths. The family works with Kongsberg HiPAP, µPAP and cPAP positioning systems and includes rechargeable lithium-ion power. cNODE MiniS is a navigation and communications component; it supplies acoustic measurements and telemetry to a wider subsea positioning system and does not execute vehicle workflows itself.
