microLiDAR Family

LightWare's microLiDAR family comprises compact laser-ranging sensors with different measurement patterns and integration options. Single-point units supply distance readings for applications such as altitude measurement, while the scanning SF45/B sweeps an adjustable angular sector for surrounding-object detection. Its configurable scan limits, update rate and distance alarms let developers tune coverage and reporting to the host system.

LightWare's integration guidance covers connections to ArduPilot and PX4, with serial and I²C support varying by sensor and flight stack. Available output fields can include raw and filtered distance, return-signal strength and diagnostic information. These data help developers distinguish the measured range from the quality of the optical return when incorporating sensors into navigation or monitoring systems.
