TRON 2

About

About TRON 2

TRON 2 is LimX Dynamics' modular embodied-robotics platform, with dual-arm, sole-foot and wheeled-leg configurations built around a common hardware system. The dual-arm arrangement has seven axes per arm, a stated combined 10-kilogram payload and teleoperation support. Mobility and manipulation hardware can be selected for different development tasks.

Optional mobile-manipulation and perception kits extend the platform into navigation, mapping and work at different heights, including tables, floors and shelves. Open high- and low-level interfaces, Python development, ROS integration and simulator models support experimentation with learned control and vision-language-action policies. LimX sells TRON 2 for research, teaching and application development. Arm payloads, terrain performance, charging and navigation features depend on the selected version and kits.

Context

Market context

TRON 2 is LimX Dynamics' wheeled semi-humanoid platform combining mobile manipulation with a humanoid-adjacent form factor.

  • Target environment: Factory floors, logistics sites and structured indoor environments.
  • Workflow context: Material handling, mobile manipulation and human-adjacent tasks where a wheeled humanoid-style platform offers advantages over bipedal or fixed automation.
  • Customer context: Industrial operators and logistics teams evaluating semi-humanoid platforms for workplace deployment.
  • Deployment model: Commercial product with industrial deployment focus.
  • Commercial maturity: Active commercial platform positioned as a bridge between mobile robots and full humanoids.
  • Adoption constraints: Wheeled mobility limits terrain access but improves stability and payload relative to bipedal platforms.
  • Market position: Sits in the semi-humanoid lane between full bipedal humanoids and traditional mobile manipulators. Alongside platforms like AgiBot G2 and Astribot S1.
  • Adjacent products: AgiBot G2, Astribot S1, TRON 1
