About Lura
Lura processes underwater acoustic data at the edge, reducing the raw signal volume sent to a remote analysis centre. Its large acoustic model has been trained to distinguish and classify patterns within complex marine sound, supporting the detection and tracking of vessels and other subsurface activity. The software runs across SG-1 Fathom underwater-glider constellations and can continue producing intelligence through constrained communications.
An operator uses Lura for mission planning, deployment management and analysis across many distributed sensors. The platform prioritises contacts and combines information from the constellation into a coherent operating picture, allowing one team to supervise a wider surveillance area. Helsing describes Lura as an open system that can incorporate data from other acoustic platforms and continue training as new operating data becomes available.
