About Cento
Cento is MightyFly's autonomous hybrid-electric vertical-takeoff-and-landing cargo aircraft programme. Its published performance target combines a 100-pound payload, a 600-mile range and a maximum speed of 150 miles per hour, using electric lift propulsors for vertical flight and a separate propeller for forward cruise.
The 2023 second-generation aircraft used eight lift fans and a six-foot cargo bay with an autonomous conveyor for package loading and unloading. MightyFly received a Special Airworthiness Certificate and flight authorisations for testing that design. A third-generation Cento introduced in 2024 retained the payload and range targets while changing to a tandem-wing airframe and a larger cargo bay. These are successive programme configurations, so their dimensions and layouts are not interchangeable.

2025-06-27 - Demonstration - The demonstration covered autonomous loading, flight, landing and package ejection. The flight used MightyFly's Cento aircraft and Autonomous Load Mastering System. The demonstration formed part of an AFWERX SBIR Phase II logistics programme.

2024-01-26 - Product Launch - The third-generation aircraft retained a 100-pound payload and 600-mile range. Its larger cargo bay was designed to accommodate packages with a wider range of sizes and centres of gravity.
