Misty II

Misty II is a 35.6-centimetre-tall programmable social robot built around a treaded mobile base, expressive head, screen, arms, speakers and lighting. Its sensor set includes a 4K camera, depth camera, three far-field microphones, capacitive touch panels, time-of-flight range sensors and bump detection. Two Snapdragon processors divide main control from navigation and computer-vision workloads.

Developers can drive the robot, move its head and arms, present media, capture audio and video, and run face, object or speech interactions through Misty Studio, Python, Blockly and an HTTP API. USB and serial connections support external hardware through the removable backpack. Misty II is currently listed in stock with education software, travel case and warranty. Its role is an extensible development and interaction platform, so the subtype has been corrected from companion robot to the existing social-service-robot lane.
