RV-E Precision Reduction Gear Series

Nabtesco RV-E is a family of cycloidal precision reduction gears for industrial robot joints and high-load servo axes. Its integrated main bearing carries external loads while the reduction mechanism converts motor speed into controlled output torque. The manufacturer specifies backlash and lost motion below one arc-minute, supporting accurate positioning in robot arms, machine tools and other industrial equipment.

Frame size and reduction ratio determine the torque, speed, mass and service-life envelope of each installation. The product is supplied as a component set for integration with a motor and surrounding machine structure. Designers select the exact model against acceleration, emergency-stop and external-bearing loads rather than treating the largest family rating as a shared specification. RV-E is distinct from the compact RV-N range, although the European selection material cross-lists the large RV-1500E.
