Perception Neuron 3

About

About Perception Neuron 3

Perception Neuron 3 is Noitom’s portable wireless inertial motion-capture system. The current configuration uses up to 27 lightweight sensors to record body and finger movement, with a transceiver, charging case and carry case forming the kit. Its updated magnetic-immunity processing supports recording in environments where magnetic interference can disturb inertial tracking.

Each sensor measures 27.9×16.2×11.6 mm and weighs 4.1 g. The manufacturer distinguishes the 600 Hz internal data-calculation rate from the 60 Hz data-output rate, with stated latency below 20 ms and operation of at least 3.5 hours. Motion is processed through Noitom software for recording and downstream animation or development workflows. PN 3 is offered through direct quotation for studios, game developers, live-streaming creators and research teams that need portable body-motion capture.
