About 600 Series Bot

Ocado’s 600 Series Bot is the lightweight generation of grid robot used within the Ocado Smart Platform. It travels across the top of a storage grid, retrieving totes for fulfilment workflows while coordinating with other bots through Ocado’s fleet and warehouse-control software.

The 600 Series design uses additive manufacturing for a substantial share of its parts, reducing vehicle weight and simplifying production compared with earlier generations. Its value depends on the complete grid, charging, communications and control environment, so it is not a standalone warehouse AMR for conventional aisles. This profile therefore treats tote movement as a system-level workflow and avoids assigning functions that belong to picking stations or other Ocado automation modules.
