Orbbec Physis Series
About
About Orbbec Physis Series
Physis is Orbbec's camera family for long-running embodied-intelligence systems. The Physis 257g combines a 63 mm stereo baseline, 120° × 90° field of view, global shutters and two 1920 × 1200 RGB streams at 60 fps. Its AI depth engine covers distances from 0.1 m to more than 10 m, with typical depth accuracy stated at 1.6% at 2 m.
Physis 157g uses the same imaging specification, synchronisation framework and software design in a compact monocular unit. Integrators can use 257g for central spatial perception and add 157g modules for supplementary viewpoints while keeping timing and colour references aligned across the robot.
Timeline
- Orbbec launches Physis and Gemini 338 robot-vision cameras at WRC
2026-08-19 - Product Launch - Physis 257g combines stereo RGB imaging with AI depth processing; the compact monocular Physis 157g shares its imaging, synchronisation and software architecture for multi-camera robot perception. The new Gemini 338Le and 338Lg stereo 3D cameras add stronger ambient-light resistance, using industrial Gigabit Ethernet and GMSL2/FAKRA interfaces respectively for industrial and logistics settings. Orbbec also presented its EGO, UMI, WristCam and Hub bodyless data-collection hardware as a complete matrix; the underlying platform had been announced before WRC.
