About ANDROS Spartan

ANDROS Spartan is Peraton Remotec's 272 kg tracked unmanned ground vehicle for explosive-ordnance and hazardous-response missions. The chassis uses dual articulating tracks with quick-release wheels for indoor and outdoor movement, reaches 5.3 km/h and runs for more than six hours on nine BB2590 batteries.

An eight-degree-of-freedom manipulator reaches 3.2 m vertically and 1.9 m horizontally. It lifts 125 kg close to the chassis and 36 kg at full extension, while a palm camera, lights and range estimator support remote grasping. The platform is designed to IP65 and handles 45-degree inclines, 37-degree stairs, 533 mm gaps and 635 mm obstacles. Its rugged laptop controller can display four camera feeds simultaneously and supports interchangeable cutting, breaching, sensing, investigating and hauling accessories.
