About RFM2

RFM2 is Phoenix LiDAR Systems' vehicle-mounted mobile mapping system built around two RIEGL VUX-1UAV22 laser scanners. The paired scanners provide two 360-degree fields of view and record as many as 15 returns per pulse, producing a combined pulse-repetition rate up to 2.4 megahertz for dense corridor and road mapping.

The system integrates GNSS and inertial navigation supporting GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo. Phoenix specifies five-millimetre scanner precision and vertical root-mean-square error of two centimetres at 120 metres under its stated conditions. The assembled unit weighs 17.4 kilograms, measures 43.2 by 53.3 by 22.8 centimetres and draws 180 watts from a 14- to 28-volt DC supply.
