About Flight RB5 5G Platform
Qualcomm Flight RB5 5G Platform is a drone reference design built around the QRB5165 robotics processor. It combines a Kryo 585 CPU, Adreno 650 GPU, Hexagon 698 DSP, dedicated video analytics and an 8-TOPS tensor accelerator for onboard perception and flight workloads.
The platform supports seven concurrent cameras, PX4 and ROS 2 software, Wi-Fi 6 and optional 5G, LTE or CBRS connectivity. Its flight-oriented integration covers visual-inertial odometry, visual SLAM, depth-from-stereo and links to unmanned-aircraft traffic-management services. The reference design targets delivery, public safety, agricultural mapping, infrastructure inspection and film applications, with optional cellular connectivity supporting beyond-visual-line-of-sight architectures.
