Reach X7

Reach X7 is a seven-function electric manipulator for remote intervention from portable ROVs and other robotic vehicles. Six continuously rotating joints provide dexterity within a 508-millimetre reach, while interchangeable end effectors support cutting, gripping, recovery and repair tasks. The arm weighs 2.9 kilograms in air, lifts three kilograms at full reach and produces 25 kilograms of grab force in its standard configuration.

The manipulator is rated to 300 metres and accepts 24–30 volts, with serial and Ethernet communications connecting it to the host vehicle and controller. Operators can use a master arm, command pods, gamepad, Reach Control software or an API. Its modular joint architecture is designed for field servicing, and the tooling interface supports interlocking jaws, parallel jaws, cutters and custom tools. Reach X7 is the seven-function model within the wider Reach X manipulator family.
