ROCHU Soft Gripper

About

About ROCHU Soft Gripper

ROCHU Soft Gripper is a modular end effector whose elastomer fingers bend around an object when pressure is applied to their internal chambers. Contact spreads over several points, allowing the fingers to accommodate irregular shapes and dimensional variation. The approach is used in handling applications where concentrated pressure can damage a surface.

The assembly uses interchangeable fingers, bases, manifolds and adapters, so worn elements can be replaced and layouts changed without replacing the entire gripper. ROCHU provides controllers and integration guidance for operating these assemblies within robot cells. Material choices and configuration can be adapted to the working environment, including exposure to dust or machining fluids.
