SMP Robotics Argus S5.4 is an outdoor autonomous patrol robot introduced as a production platform for security and site-monitoring deployments. It uses NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX compute and is designed to host third-party security, analytics and artificial-intelligence software alongside the manufacturer's navigation and vehicle systems.

SMP announced that shipments of the S5.4 began in March 2026. The platform provides a mobile base for patrol payloads and customer-selected applications, so the exact sensing and security functions depend on the installed configuration. This profile records the production vehicle and its integration role without treating optional software as a physical capability of every unit.

    2026-03-02 - Product Launch - The Argus S5.4 adds NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX for edge AI, deep video analytics and real-time third-party applications on the robot. Certified software modules can be distributed through SMP Store, extending the platform beyond autonomous patrol into inspection, industrial AI and security analytics. SMP also introduced a developer programme and commercial terms for qualified software partners deploying customer solutions on the platform.
