About Beehive
Beehive is Sunflower Labs' autonomous drone security system for industrial, commercial and residential properties. It pairs the Bee quadcopter with a weather-protected Hive station that launches, houses and recharges the aircraft. Flights can begin from a camera or motion alarm, a schedule or an operator request. The Bee follows routes within the property's geocaged airspace, streams video and returns to its station after a mission.
The Hive processes sensor information using embedded computing, while operators receive live video and alerts. Privacy controls blur areas outside the property boundary. The aircraft's operational flight allowance is 15 minutes plus a five-minute safety reserve, and charging takes twice the preceding flight time. Installation and operating arrangements depend on the site and local aviation requirements.
