Toutatis

Toutatis is a short-range fixed-wing teleoperated munition developed by Thales for one-way engagement of tactical targets. A dismounted operator can carry and launch it, while the same system can deploy from combat vehicles, aircraft or naval platforms. It uses an interchangeable warhead, is designed to retain control in jammed electromagnetic environments and can coordinate with other Toutatis aircraft in swarm operations.

Thales and Renault Group are redesigning the airframe for large-scale French production, applying automotive design-for-manufacturing methods to reduce part and fastener counts. As of August 2026, the programme is in development and industrialisation. The partners say production could begin in 2027, with an initial target capacity of 1,000 units per month.
