Jennie
About
About Jennie
Jennie is a robotic Labrador puppy designed to respond to touch and spoken interaction with lifelike movement and recorded dog sounds. Touch sensors distributed across the body trigger different behaviours, while a rechargeable battery supports daytime use after overnight charging. A mobile application controls settings and provides continuing software updates.
Tombot developed the product with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop for people who may benefit from animal companionship but cannot safely or practically care for a live pet. Initial applications include dementia, cognitive impairment and residential care. The first production allocation is sold out, and the company is preparing its first customer deliveries while maintaining a waitlist.
