COUNTBOT

COUNTBOT combines a wheeled ground robot with an aerial drone for automated warehouse inventory. Fourteen cameras locate complete pallets and capture barcodes or RFID identifiers while the base follows mapped aisle routes. The system operates in aisles at least 2.9 metres wide and sends verified inventory data to the warehouse management system.

Deployment begins with a site survey, a two-dimensional navigation map and a three-dimensional model of racks and storage locations. During a mission, the robot scans pallet positions across multiple rack levels. Tonner Drones states that over 85 percent of locations are detected automatically, with operators resolving the remaining exceptions through the interface. The same architecture can be configured for mass or bulk storage and for unattended night or weekend counting.
