Tobi is Twolabs' semi-humanoid robot design for assistance in nursing homes and senior-living communities. The proposed system combines physical support with social interaction, targeting object fetching, feeding, dressing, medication reminders and companionship. Mobility support and wayfinding are also part of the design goals.

Twolabs introduced Tobi while developing its robot hardware, vision-language-action models and social-intelligence software. The company described the prototype design as complete, with its AI stack still in development. Its broader robotics platform uses modular hardware, interchangeable end effectors and configurable sensors, alongside a workflow for recording demonstrations, training skills and deploying policies. Tobi represents the caregiving design within that programme; the proposed assistance functions remain development goals.
