About Unity Simulation Pro

Unity Simulation Pro packages core robot-simulation workflows inside Unity Industry. Teams can import URDF robot descriptions with kinematic chains intact, configure LiDAR, camera and IMU sensors, and connect simulated systems to ROS 2.

The Early Access release supports headless Linux builds for parallel execution on existing infrastructure. It is aimed at robot validation, sensor testing, synthetic-data generation and virtual commissioning, and requires Unity 6.3 or newer plus a Unity Industry license.

  • Unity launches Simulation Pro for robotics in Early Access

    2026-09-22 - Product Launch - The package supports LiDAR, image and IMU sensor simulation and imports URDF robot descriptions with their kinematic chains. Simulation Pro is compatible with Unity 6.3 or newer and requires a Unity Industry license. The package also provides ROS 2 compatibility and a headless Linux build target for parallel simulation workloads.
