About
About Vulcan Platform
Vulcan Platform is Vision Aerial's professional multirotor family for inspection, mapping and sensor-carrying missions. It comprises the SX tricopter, which is in production, and the YX offset Y-6, which is available for preorder. Both use radar-based forward collision avoidance, active terrain following, dual-band RTK GNSS and Flight Deck v4 mission-planning software. A Smart Dovetail interface lets operators exchange payloads in the field without tools.
SX carries up to three kilograms and has a stated 70-minute flight time without payload. YX is designed for payloads up to 10 kilograms, with a separate 15-kilogram, 10-minute configuration. Flight duration varies with the installed payload, battery kit and conditions. Optical, thermal, LiDAR and other sensor packages support different missions; onboard edge computing and extended-flight kits are options. The family combines shared architecture with separate airframe limits and commercial availability.
