DVL A250
About
About DVL A250
DVL A250 uses four acoustic beams to measure vehicle velocity relative to the seabed across a published technical altitude range from 30 centimetres to 250 metres. It maintains bottom lock at speeds reaching 15 metres per second and supplies velocity input for subsea navigation and station keeping. The marketing page also says operation can begin as low as 5 cm, but the detailed technical specification and product documentation state 30 cm, which is retained as the normalized minimum.
The 149-millimetre-diameter unit weighs 1.65 kilograms in air and is offered with 1,000-metre rear O-ring or 4,000-metre side-entry depth ratings. Ethernet and RS-232 support Water Linked and PD-series protocols. Water tracking appears as a feature on the shop page, while current documentation says it is planned and not yet available for A250; the database preserves that current availability limitation. Skarv Technologies names DVL A250 as the selected navigation sensor for its CORAX 600 AUV configuration.
