Whelix Laboratory Automation System

Whelix Laboratory Automation System is a cell-culture platform combining robotic handling with imaging and an AI workflow agent called Willow. Scientists can describe a workflow in speech or text, then simulate timing, motion and resource use in a virtual workcell before execution. Image analysis measures cell confluency and morphology to inform subsequent steps.

The full Associan workcell combines the Teknician liquid-handling core with an incubator, refrigerator, heat bath, gripper and waste management. Teknician is also offered as a desktop platform. Users can choose autonomous execution, approval of key decisions or manual control, while operations and decisions are logged. The shared architecture supports expansion of cultures and preparation of assay-ready plates.
