About
About General Robotics
General Robotics develops a software platform for composing and deploying AI skills across different robot forms. Its Intelligence Grid connects perception, planning and action modules with distributed inference across cloud, on-premise and edge environments.
Developers can target humanoids, arms, quadrupeds, wheeled robots and aircraft through a common deployment layer. Actual task capability comes from the selected skills, robot hardware, evaluation environment and integration work.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-10-02 - Demonstration - Field AI and General Robotics validate autonomy with HTX through Dimension X
Field AI-powered quadrupeds located spill sources and potential casualties without human pre-mapping. A separate General Robotics evaluation used GRID for elevator-button pressing and corridor navigation. The work involved HTX’s Robotics, Automation and Unmanned Systems Centre of Expertise through Dimension X Cohort 5.
Source - 2026-09-30 - Facility Opening - HTX opens S$100M Home Team Humanoid Robotics Centre
The 29,000 sq ft centre supports motion capture, human demonstrations, simulation, data collection and physical testing. Recreated test environments include post-blast debris, a prison cell and a chemical plant. HTX targets humanoids working alongside Home Team officers in real operations by 2028.
Source - 2026-09-09 - Product Launch - General Robotics adds Auto-Engineering workflows to GRID
GRID stores each onboarded robot, task, model and failure in knowledge graphs that inform later deployments. The platform integrates more than 50 OEM robots and hundreds of models across perception, control, planning, simulation and deployment. General Robotics says fixes developed for one deployment can be retained and reused on later robots and tasks.
Source - 2026-04-15 - Funding - Accenture Ventures invests in General Robotics to scale physical AI deployment across manufacturing and logistics
Accenture invested in General Robotics through Accenture Ventures. The companies said they will work together to help manufacturers, logistics operators, and other asset-intensive industries deploy physical AI-powered robotic systems at enterprise scale. The announcement positions General Robotics' GRID platform as a robot-agnostic intelligence and orchestration layer spanning multiple robot OEMs, AI models, and deployment environments.
Source - 2025-11-17 - Market Signal - General Robotics is selected for Microsoft for Startups Pegasus Program
General Robotics was selected for Microsoft's invite-only Pegasus Program for high-growth startups. The company said the program would provide access to Microsoft's enterprise network, go-to-market support, and Azure infrastructure. General Robotics framed the selection as validation of GRID's enterprise robotics deployment strategy and broader commercial acceleration.
Source - 2025-06-23 - Partnership - General Robotics partners with Trossen Robotics to bring GRID AI capabilities to Trossen robot lineup
General Robotics announced a partnership with Trossen Robotics to extend GRID-based AI capabilities across Trossen's robot lineup. The integration covered multiple Trossen form factors, including standalone, mobile, and fixed bimanual systems. The partnership expanded GRID's hardware ecosystem and gave Trossen users access to cloud-delivered perception, planning, and teleoperation workflows.
Source - 2025-05-19 - Partnership - NVIDIA powers humanoid robot industry with Isaac GR00T platform adopted by Agility, Boston Dynamics, Fourier and others
NVIDIA released Isaac GR00T N foundation models enabling humanoid robots to perform complex manipulation tasks via natural language commands. Agility Robotics, Boston Dynamics, Fourier, Galbot, Mentee Robotics, NEURA Robotics, General Robotics, Skild AI, and XPENG Robotics are adopting the NVIDIA Isaac platform. AeiRobot, Lightwheel, Foxlink, and NEURA Robotics are early adopters of GR00T N models; Foxconn and Foxlink use GR00T-Mimic blueprints for manufacturing.
Source - 2025-02-19 - Partnership - General Robotics integrates NVIDIA Isaac Sim into Open GRID
General Robotics integrated NVIDIA Isaac Sim into its Open GRID platform. The integration added browser-based access to robot simulation, synthetic data generation, and model evaluation workflows across multiple robot form factors. General Robotics said the Isaac Sim integration would lower technical debt for robot AI development and accelerate deployment workflows.
Source - 2024-07-21 - Product Launch - General Robotics opens GRID Beta as a free cloud-based robotics development environment
General Robotics opened the waitlist for GRID Beta as an open and free cloud-based IDE for robot intelligence development. The beta release gave developers browser-based access to foundation models, simulation, and AI infrastructure without local setup. The launch expanded GRID from an early platform release into a more accessible developer-facing product.
Source - 2023-09-27 - Product Launch - General Robotics launches pre-release of GRID robotics intelligence development platform
General Robotics launched the pre-release version of its General Robot Intelligence Development platform, GRID. The platform combines robotics foundation models, simulation, and LLM-based orchestration for rapid prototyping of robotic AI capabilities. The initial release was positioned as a development platform for building and exporting AI capabilities onto real robot fleets.
