About Mars Auto
Mars Auto's driving system learns truck control from recorded driving and interprets the road through seven cameras. Its vision-based, end-to-end architecture does not require high-definition route maps. The development approach aims to support changing long-haul routes through real-time perception and learned driving behaviour, backed by a fleet data network involving commercial carriers.
Mars Auto also operates trucks carrying freight, giving its engineering programme access to everyday logistics conditions and driving data. Current commercial operations use supervised self-driving trucks in South Korea and the United States. Fully unmanned service is a development target for 2028. The business therefore combines a driving-software programme with freight operations and the carrier relationships used to gather data and run transport services.

Two Xcient test vehicles, one hydrogen-electric and one conventional, are scheduled to be provided in early 2027.
