About JR Merritt Controls

J.R. Merritt Controls manufactures joysticks and operator stations for machinery that must translate human input into precise hydraulic, drive or implement commands. Its range includes single- and multi-axis joysticks, Hall-effect and potentiometric sensing, CAN-based outputs, pedals, handles and control boxes. Components can be sealed and mechanically configured for marine, mining, forestry, port and other demanding mobile-machine environments.

The company also designs complete operator-chair systems that integrate armrests, joysticks, switches, displays and wiring around the machine’s workflow. A project can begin with required force feel, movement, functions and communication protocol, then progress through mechanical design, electronics, harnessing and production. J.R. Merritt supports repair and refurbishment as well as new equipment, placing it between equipment manufacturers and the operator as the supplier of the physical human–machine interface.
