Avarai combines robotic arms, machine vision and Wootzano’s electronic skin to identify, grasp and pack individual pieces of produce. The tactile layer measures contact force across the gripper surface, allowing the system to handle soft or irregular fruit and recognise conditions such as an attached stem without relying solely on camera geometry.

The cell estimates product weight and selects packing positions to meet tray or carton requirements while reducing bruising and manual handling.
