About AV&R

AV&R builds robotic machines for abrasive finishing and automated visual inspection of precision parts. Its BF-X and TF-X families carry out profiling, polishing, blending, deburring, buffing, cutting and grinding, while VI-X and SI-X inspect surfaces and geometry. The systems are used on turbine-engine components, medical implants and other parts whose finish and defects must be controlled consistently.

Process software adapts robot paths and material removal to part variation, reducing the manual programming and operator judgement normally required for finishing. Inspection cells capture repeatable images and measurements that can be traced alongside production results, while programming tools let manufacturers introduce new part references. AV&R supplies the machine, process development, training and lifecycle service as one production system. The Quebec manufacturer reports more than 2,000 machines installed for 200 customers, including 15 original-equipment manufacturers, across 22 countries after three decades of automation work.
