About Voltava

Voltava was established in December 2025 when Detroit Manufacturing Systems acquired Android Industries and Avancez and combined the three organizations. The group is headquartered in Auburn Hills, is wholly owned by Bruce Smith and operates a multi-site manufacturing network built around complex module assembly, sequencing, tooling and supply-chain management.

Its assembly services support batch and just-in-time production, with in-house tooling and equipment design adapted to customer requirements. An inherited autonomy programme began with Detroit Manufacturing Systems' 2025 letter of intent with American Robotics for U.S. drone manufacturing and supply-chain support. Ondas continued to include Detroit Manufacturing Systems in its 2026 manufacturing plans, connecting the group's assembly capabilities to customer-developed autonomous aircraft.
