About Westlake Robotics
Westlake Robotics develops the General Action Expert model as a whole-body control layer for humanoid robots. GAE coordinates locomotion, posture and upper-body manipulation through one learned action system that governs the arms, legs and torso together. Titan o1 uses the model to reproduce human movement in real time from motion-capture input, including actions that were not individually programmed into a fixed behaviour library.
The model is trained from large collections of human joint trajectories and reinforced in simulation before transfer to physical platforms. Westlake describes the architecture as a general-purpose “cerebellum” beneath language and vision models: higher-level systems determine the intended action, while GAE converts that intent into coordinated robot motion. The company is also applying its control work to quadrupeds and scenario-specific machines, including an intelligent guide robot developed with LiDAR, depth cameras and reinforcement-learning navigation.

Investors across the A-series include Haiyuan Capital, Cuiwei Fund, Inno Valley Capital, Westlake Sci-Tech Investment and Zhongshan Venture Capital. The company will use the financing for whole-body motion-and-manipulation model development, commercial expansion and hiring. Reporting describes the combined A-series as several hundred million RMB rather than assigning that amount specifically to the A1 tranche.

GAE generated coordinated full-body motion from the operator’s signals in real time. MANUS gloves supplied 25-degree-of-freedom finger data to the control pipeline. The demonstration showed a wearable input configuration rather than a standard production fit or commercial purchase.

The footage included single-leg spins, two aerial kicks, a stable finish and a final bow. Westlake said the sequence ran from one end-to-end model without remote control or accelerated playback.
