About Medtronic
Medtronic’s surgical-robotics portfolio covers soft-tissue and spine workflows. Hugo uses independently positioned arm carts, an open surgeon console, imaging and energy-system integration for minimally invasive procedures. Mazor X Stealth combines spinal planning, navigation and a guidance arm for surgeon-defined instrument and implant trajectories. Both operate within broader Medtronic instrument, imaging and digital-service ecosystems.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration cleared Hugo in December 2025 for specified adult urologic procedures, including prostatectomy, nephrectomy and cystectomy. Hugo’s available specialties differ across other markets, and Mazor configurations follow separate spine indications. Medtronic supplies technology, training and service to clinical teams; procedure selection, system operation and patient outcomes remain clinician and institution responsibilities.
