About Matic Robots
Matic builds an autonomous home robot that vacuums and mops hard floors and carpets in a single cleaning run. Five RGB and infrared cameras feed an NVIDIA Orin processor, which creates a continuously updated three-dimensional map, identifies floor types and obstacles, and plans coverage locally on the machine.
The robot changes cleaning mode without manual attachment swaps, washes its mop during operation and uses a brush designed to resist hair tangles. Maps and navigation imagery stay on the device and are shared with the mobile application over the home's local Wi-Fi connection. A charging dock supports scheduled cleaning, while separate clean- and dirty-water handling enables up to 1,300 square feet of mopping per fill.

- 2026-08-25 - Capability - Matic selects Jetson Orin Nano 2 for future home robots
The module is expected to deliver twice the inference performance of its predecessor and 40% lower power draw at equivalent performance in 15W mode. Matic said more than 13,000 of its robots were in U.S. homes, with 450,000 autonomous miles and 400M square feet cleaned. Its current robots already use NVIDIA Jetson compute; the Orin Nano 2 module and developer kit are expected in the first half of 2027.
Source - 2026-08-13 - Capability - Matic adds Cues voice and gesture controls
Cues supports more than 70 languages through Gemini and can hear spoken commands from up to 10 metres away. Gesture recognition tracks the direction of a user's pointing hand to locate a mess, while voice commands can target rooms, cleaning modes, schedules and follow-me movement. The wake phrase is detected on the robot; after the chime, requests are processed anonymously by Gemini and are not stored.
