About
About Hobbywing
Hobbywing designs and manufactures brushless propulsion systems for multirotor, VTOL, fixed-wing and FPV aircraft. Its UAV catalogue spans motors, electronic speed controllers, folding propellers and integrated XRotor X, H and P-series units, allowing builders to select individual components or a matched motor, controller and propeller assembly.
The range runs from compact FPV drives to heavy-lift systems such as X15, which combines a large motor, 300-amp controller and 63-inch propeller for agricultural, logistics, firefighting, surveying and inspection aircraft. Digital control products add CAN-based communication, fault logging and operating telemetry, while separate cruise motors serve fixed-wing platforms. Hobbywing also develops power systems for RC vehicles and personal electric mobility, but UAV propulsion remains a dedicated product and test programme.

Events
- 2026-10-16 - Capability - Hobbywing details X15 propulsion in Taihang 100 emergency UAV
The aircraft was specified for loads up to 100 kg and remote control over a stated range up to 30 km. Its interchangeable mission equipment addressed emergency delivery, firefighting and high-rise window breaking. Hobbywing specified PWM and CAN control for the X15 propulsion assembly.
Source - 2026-09-19 - Demonstration - Hobbywing powers Tianmushan-9 high-rise rescue demonstration
The six-axis aircraft was jointly developed by Beihang University’s Tianmushan Laboratory and Tianxun Innovation. The drill took place on 19 September 2026, before Hobbywing’s October account. The aircraft incorporated a personnel-carrying flight deck and a stated payload capacity up to 200 kg.
Source - 2026-07-23 - Capability - Hobbywing P115M powers Yunding’s XF12-400 firefighting UAV
The XF12-400 carries Hobbywing’s P115M 800V coaxial integrated propulsion system together with a tethered high-voltage power supply and vehicle-based deployment setup. The firefighting UAV is specified for a 400 kg payload and 200 m tethered altitude, with up to 12 hours of continuous operation for buildings up to about 67 stories. The platform can carry firefighting hoses, water cannons and compressed-air foam systems, while also supporting EO/thermal cameras, lighting and emergency-supply payloads.
Source - 2026-07-15 - Product Launch - Hobbywing launches V13823 and V13828 VTOL motors
The manufacturer specifies maximum thrust of 70.6 kg for V13823 and 81.6 kg for V13828, at motor weights of 2,160 g and 2,465 g. With its XRotor Pro H300A 24S BLDC IPC G3 controller, the motors support configurable propeller stopping positions for cruise flight.
Source - 2026-06-12 - Capability - Hobbywing X8 G2 propulsion powers Yiku Taihang 10 industrial quadcopter
Hobbywing identified its X8 G2 integrated propulsion system as the Taihang 10 powertrain. The aircraft page lists an 8 kg standard payload, 13 kg maximum payload and 29.9 kg maximum takeoff weight. Yiku Aviation positions the quadcopter for logistics, inspection, emergency response and unattended operations.
Source - 2026-06-05 - Capability - Hobbywing P65V powers a 200 kg-class VTOL UAV
The integration uses a 400 V architecture to reduce current and line losses at a given power output. Motor and ESC temperature sensors transmit real-time operating data over CAN bus. The source names surveying, emergency response, inspection and monitoring as intended mission categories, without identifying the aircraft maker or an operating deployment.
Source - 2026-06-04 - Capability - Hobbywing publishes next-generation propulsion monitoring update
The update introduced proactive risk-warning and intelligent-monitoring functions for UAV propulsion. The monitoring layer is intended to surface propulsion-system health and flight-safety risks before failure. Hobbywing described a supplier capability, not a completed aircraft deployment.
Source - 2026-05-27 - Capability - Hobbywing highlights UAV propulsion innovations at UASE 2026
Hobbywing presented integrated propulsion updates spanning motors, electronic speed controllers and monitoring software. The exhibits covered multirotor and industrial-drone configurations rather than a new aircraft platform. The announcement documents supplier-level propulsion capabilities demonstrated at UASE 2026.
Source - 2026-03-06 - Partnership - Hobbywing H15MD Plus powers Ruhong Yun 201 timber-lifting mission
During a Mohe timber-lifting mission at −25.8°C, the aircraft completed four sorties in 14 minutes, carrying loads from 50 kg to 212 kg over 8 km. Hobbywing said the H15MD Plus motors remained at or below 30°C throughout the lifting operation.
Source - 2025-06-28 - Deployment - Hobbywing H8M propulsion system powers Skyecam aerial-cinematography platform
Skyecam selected HOBBYWING’s H8M integrated propulsion system—motor, ESC and propeller—for a custom 1200 mm heavy-lift cinematography drone. The team tested the configuration with no payload, a 30 lb payload and LED-lighting systems before commercial shoots. In a Nevada cinematography project, four H8M units carried a 21.5 lb camera payload for about 10 minutes and later powered additional flight missions and on-set lighting work without overheating.
