About
About APC Propellers
APC Propellers designs and moulds fixed-pitch composite propellers for electric, internal-combustion, multirotor and specialist model-aircraft applications. Its catalogue covers standard and reverse rotation, pusher, folding, racing and multi-blade configurations across a wide range of diameters and pitches, giving UAV builders discrete propulsion components for different motor, airframe and mission combinations.
Design and production take place at APC's California facility using proprietary CAD-CAM, aerodynamic and structural-analysis software. Blade geometry can blend different airfoil sections along the span, while vortex-based performance models estimate thrust, torque and efficiency across airspeed and rotational speed. Stress, fatigue and natural-frequency calculations inform the structure before operational testing. APC CNC-machines its injection moulds, stores process settings for repeatable production and adjusts moulding to control balance. It also publishes geometry and simulated performance files so aircraft developers can compare propellers and model them within a complete propulsion system.

- 2026-04-20 - Product Launch - APC expands electric and multi-rotor propeller catalog
The 8x10EP electric pusher propeller entered the catalog on April 20, 2026. A February expansion added electric and pusher sizes including 5.3x5.9E, 8x10E, 9x7.5EP, 9x9EP, 10x14EP and 11x13EP. The same catalog update added T-mount electric and multi-rotor designs plus larger 18-inch and 24-inch propellers.
Source - 2024-12-14 - Partnership - APC renews propeller supply partnership with UC Davis aircraft team
The renewed relationship followed an earlier partnership that paused during the COVID-19 pandemic. The student team used the support while preparing its aircraft for the 2024-25 AIAA Design/Build/Fly competition. The arrangement connected California-made propellers with a university aircraft design and flight-test programme.
Source - 2022-06-01 - Product Launch - APC launches patented quick-release multi-rotor hubs
The hub attached to a motor bell with two M3 screws spaced 12 millimetres apart and used a 4-millimetre centre hole for alignment or shaft attachment. Operators could remove or fold the blades without tools to reduce the space needed for packaging and transport. A non-quick-release hub variant supported systems that use active rotor braking.
Source - 2022-05-31 - Product Launch - APC launches folding multi-rotor propeller line
The new line introduced button-style folding blades for multi-rotor propulsion systems. The blades were designed to work with the company's patented quick-release hub and fold for compact storage or transport. Additional sizes were scheduled to follow the initial range as production expanded.
Source - 2020-12-10 - Capability - APC strengthens folding-propeller blade-to-hub transition
The updated range covered folding propellers from 7x4F through 14x10F and retained compatibility with existing hub assemblies. Each revised blade carried an F stamp so operators could distinguish the strengthened version. Two additional folding hubs supported 6-millimetre motor shafts and accepted adapter rings for other shaft sizes.
Source - 2017-07-20 - Demonstration - DRL RacerX sets quadcopter speed record with APC propellers
RacerX achieved a two-way average speed of 163.5 miles per hour over a measured 100-metre course. The purpose-built FPV quadcopter weighed 800 grams and completed runs in both directions for the record attempt. Its use of APC propellers demonstrated the components in a high-load racing-drone configuration.
