About Stryker
Stryker develops implants, instruments and enabling technologies across orthopaedics, surgery, neurotechnology and emergency care. Mako SmartRobotics combines patient-specific CT planning, surgeon-controlled robotic-arm guidance and AccuStop haptic boundaries for supported hip, knee, shoulder and spine applications. Mako 4 integrates the platform with Stryker’s Q Guidance tracking and display system.
In February 2026 Stryker added Mako RPS, a handheld robotic power system for total-knee procedures, through a limited market release. RPS is a separate Mako platform designed around a familiar manual power-tool form, while Mako 4 remains the multi-specialty arm-assisted system. Procedure software, compatible implants, regulatory availability and clinical claims remain specific to the selected Mako configuration and jurisdiction.
