About Mako 4

Mako 4 is Stryker’s fourth-generation robotic surgery platform. Three-dimensional CT-based planning defines the intended implant position, while AccuStop haptic technology constrains instrument movement within the surgical plan. The system integrates Stryker’s Q Guidance platform, including a large display and FP8000 optical camera for tracking instruments and patient arrays.

A common Mako 4 base supports Total Knee, Partial Knee, Total Hip, Spine and Shoulder applications, with procedure-specific software, end effectors and instruments. The MICS 3 handpiece performs guided cutting in hip and knee workflows; spine configurations add lock-and-hold and planned-depth support for pedicle preparation. Stryker described Mako 4 as commercially available in 2025. The record represents the shared fourth-generation platform while keeping its procedure packages as configurations, not duplicate products.
