About Autonomous A2Z
Autonomous A2Z develops the software, controllers and vehicles needed to run driverless passenger services. Its ROii mid-size shuttle is a purpose-built electric platform for up to 11 passengers, including wheelchair and stroller access through doors on both sides. Four lidar units, five radars, eight cameras, dual satellite positioning and wheel encoders provide overlapping coverage for urban operation.
The vehicle uses redundant controllers that monitor one another and select a safe response when faults occur. A2Z's wider stack covers perception, localisation, planning, vehicle control, infrastructure sensing and remote fleet supervision, allowing it to integrate autonomy into both its own shuttle and partner vehicles. ROii is specified for a 260-kilometre theoretical range and a maximum operating speed of 40 kilometres per hour.
