About D3 Embedded

Founded in 1999 and headquartered near Rochester, New York, D3 Embedded is an embedded-systems developer and original design manufacturer operating as Define Design Deploy Corp. The company integrates cameras, radar, high-speed connectivity, edge compute and AI into production-ready systems, and reports more than 500 customer projects across six continents.

Its robotics work includes an eight-camera perception system brought to production for Scythe Robotics and a five-camera vision system produced for Ghost Robotics. D3 also develops DesignCore radar and embedded-vision platforms around technology from NVIDIA, Texas Instruments, Analog Devices, Sony and Valens. The company supports product architecture, validation and scalable US and offshore manufacturing rather than acting only as a component reseller.

Events

  • 2026-03-16 - Demonstration - D3 Embedded showcases synchronized multimodal robot perception at NVIDIA GTC

The collaborative-robot pipeline combines stereo D3 GMSL2 cameras, a Connect Tech Gauntlet carrier and Jetson AGX Thor with Nemotron-7B, DINO, Nano-SAM2 and GraspGen. A second system aggregates five sensors across RGB mono, stereo and LWIR thermal modalities through NVIDIA IGX Thor Mini and Holoscan. The multimodal sensing pipeline provides sub-microsecond PTP synchronization across distributed platforms.
