FlytBase connects drones, docking stations, cameras and enterprise systems through one remote operations console. Teams schedule recurring flights, define routes, monitor live video and telemetry and review completed missions across one or many sites.
The platform supports mixed hardware including DJI Dock systems and other drone-in-a-box products and exposes APIs for alarms, asset-management and analytics software. Automated pre-flight checks, geofencing, failsafes and user permissions support unattended operation, while cloud and private deployment options allow security, inspection and public-safety fleets to run without an onsite pilot at every station.

The deployment supports automated rounds, flare checks, under-deck checks, sheen monitoring and asset-condition inspection. FlytBase describes the system as operational rather than a demonstration. The milestone was shared by Shell and FlytBase at the Energy Drone & Robotics Summit in Houston.

The Montevideo program links ShotSpotter gunshot detection with automated drone dispatch from docking stations. Timerix is the Uruguayan deployment partner and FlytBase provides the drone autonomy and operations software layer. The program gives police live aerial video from incident scenes before or during ground response.

The May 27, 2026 announcement pairs FlytBase’s drone autonomy platform with Yarra Drones’ UTM and compliance infrastructure. Yarra Drones holds CASA approval and was selected by Airservices Australia for next-generation UTM services delivery. The companies will support enterprise, government, operator and OEM drone programs in Australia.
