About Ground Robotics
VATAG is an eight-wheel heavy unmanned ground vehicle built around hybrid propulsion, modular armour and a payload capacity above two tonnes. The wheeled layout is designed for rough terrain and continued movement after selected wheel damage, with demonstrated off-road speeds reaching approximately 42 km/h. Remote control and developing autonomous navigation support operation away from the crew.
The flat modular platform can be configured for ammunition and supply transport, casualty evacuation, engineering or demining equipment, reconnaissance sensors and remote weapon stations. Ground Robotics is developing the vehicle as a modular ecosystem with mission-control and AI components supporting multiple configurations. VATAG was introduced publicly at Defense Tech Valley in September 2025 and has since progressed through field trials.
