About Ground Robotics
VATAG is an eight-wheel heavy unmanned ground vehicle built around hybrid propulsion, modular armour and a payload capacity above two tonnes. The wheeled layout is designed for rough terrain and continued movement after selected wheel damage, with demonstrated off-road speeds reaching approximately 42 km/h. Remote control and developing autonomous navigation support operation away from the crew.
The flat modular platform can be configured for ammunition and supply transport, casualty evacuation, engineering or demining equipment, reconnaissance sensors and remote weapon stations. Ground Robotics is developing the vehicle as a modular ecosystem with mission-control and AI components supporting multiple configurations. VATAG was introduced publicly at Defense Tech Valley in September 2025 and has since progressed through field trials.

- 2025-09-20 - Product Launch - Ground Robotics introduces VATAG heavy unmanned ground vehicle
VATAG was presented at Brave1 Defense Tech Valley 2025 as a multifunctional heavy UGV ready for serial production. The platform is designed to carry more than 2 tons of payload and support mission modules for logistics, engineering work and weapon-system integration. Ground Robotics positions the VATAG family for military and special-operations tasks including demining, delivery, precision strikes and reconnaissance.
