About Hypershell
Hypershell combines wearable mechanical supports, electric motors and motion-control software to assist outdoor movement. Its X Series places powered assistance around the hips, using sensors to interpret gait and adjust output as the wearer climbs, descends or changes pace.
The software offers activity-specific modes, including downhill assistance and a resistance-based fitness mode. Battery packs, frame materials and body-contact padding form part of the wearable design, balancing portability with the transfer of motor force to the user. The company is also extending its approach through Halo, a design coordinating assistance at both hips and knees. These products apply robotics to worn mobility equipment controlled through the wearer’s movement.
