IPG Automotive develops simulation software and engineering services for virtual vehicle testing. Its CarMaker product family creates real-time digital prototypes that combine vehicle dynamics, roads, traffic, weather, drivers and sensor models for development of chassis, powertrain, driver-assistance and automated-driving functions.
The open platform supports model-, software- and hardware-in-the-loop workflows from early design through full-vehicle validation. Engineers can connect production software stacks, driving simulators, test benches and third-party models, then automate repeatable scenario catalogues across desktop, high-performance computing and cloud infrastructure. This lets safety-critical and rare traffic cases be exercised before or alongside physical proving-ground and road tests.

- 2021-08-30 - Partnership - IPG Automotive and Ansys link CarMaker with VRXPERIENCE
The interface combined CarMaker full-vehicle simulation with VRXPERIENCE capabilities for human-machine interfaces, lighting and physically based sensor simulation. The integration supported autonomous-driving and driver-assistance validation across model-, software- and hardware-in-the-loop workflows. Both companies aimed to give mutual customers access to models from the two simulation environments in real time.
