About KIT H²T

KIT H²T is the High Performance Humanoid Technologies laboratory at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Its research combines humanoid robot development with perception, grasping, motion planning and learning from human observation. The laboratory develops the ARMAR family of integrated robots and ArmarX, the cognitive software architecture shared across its recent platforms.

ARMAR-7 is a wheeled assistance platform for tasks in human environments, including households and nursing facilities. Other ARMAR platforms investigate industrial assistance, hazardous-environment work and full-body humanoid control. The laboratory's robots combine anthropomorphic arms and hands with cameras, force sensing and integrated control systems. This combination supports research into spoken interaction, task learning, coordinated manipulation and transfer of methods between different robot bodies.
