LEAPTING
About
About LEAPTING
LEAPTING designs equipment around successive stages of a utility-scale photovoltaic project: placing modules, keeping panels clean and inspecting operating assets. Autonomous navigation, pose recognition and digital twins connect its machines with a cloud platform for equipment monitoring and remote maintenance. Its G2 vehicle-mounted cleaning machine complements the G1 panel-cleaning system and installation robots.
The Huzhou factory entered production in August 2024. LEAPTING subsequently established a manufacturing collaboration with ReNew's RenServ operation in India, combining its robot technology with local production and maintenance support. The AFR extends its construction offering into pallet transport, using tracked mobility and combined satellite, laser and camera navigation to move solar modules between storage areas and installation rows.

- 2026-10-09 - Product Launch - LEAPTING launches AFR autonomous tracked forklift for solar construction
The tracked platform carries payloads of up to 3,000 kg and combines GPS-RTK, laser SLAM and 3D vision for navigation. Fork-hole detection and autonomous pallet handling extend LEAPTING's module-installation workflow into on-site materials transport.
Source - 2026-10-05 - Commercial Order - LEAPTING signs 1.5 GW robotic solar-installation order in the Middle East
The project involves approximately 2.4 million photovoltaic modules, with MMR installation robots working alongside AFR autonomous forklifts. AFR will identify and move module pallets to MMR loading platforms; MMR will then pick, position and install the individual modules. LEAPTING says its MMR systems have operated commercially on large Middle Eastern solar projects since 2024.
