About Matrix Robotics
MATRIX-3 uses a 27-degree-of-freedom cable-driven hand, fingertip sensing and force-sensitive artificial skin to combine visual and tactile feedback during contact-rich manipulation. Matrix reports force detection down to 0.1 newtons, supporting control tasks that depend on detecting slip, pressure and changing contact rather than vision alone.
The platform is intended for teams developing generalisation, language-directed behaviour and whole-body control on one integrated robot. Matrix supplies the body, linear actuators, sensing and compute together, with early access for selected partners and pilot deployments planned from mid-2026 rather than presenting MATRIX-3 as a broadly deployed production fleet.
