About Nabtesco

Nabtesco manufactures precision reduction gears that convert compact motor output into the high torque and accurate movement required by industrial robots. Its RV component units use a cycloidal mechanism to provide high rigidity, overload resistance, low backlash and smooth acceleration in robot axes. Gearhead versions add motor-mounting interfaces and sealed lubrication, while low-profile table models provide large hollow shafts for positioners and rotating machinery.

The company also integrates RV gearing into sealed servo actuators, positioner units and in-wheel Mecanum drives for high-payload AGVs and AMRs. Customers can select products against major servomotor sizes and calculate service life for a defined load cycle. Nabtesco estimates that its gears hold about 60% of the global market for joints in medium and large industrial robots. Production is distributed across plants in Japan and China, supporting robot manufacturers as well as machine-tool, semiconductor, construction and general industrial applications.
