About OS3

OS3 is developing an in-house mobile robot with two arms rather than sourcing a standard base and adding software. The current platform has a vertical lift spanning from the floor to about six feet, carries roughly 5 kg per arm and uses cameras and LiDAR for perception. OS3 states nine hours of battery life, extendable to 18, together with collision avoidance, automatic power cutoff and an emergency stop. The hardware is designed and built in the United States.

The learning stack is organised as a deployment flywheel. Models begin with human video and first-person footage, then use reinforcement learning and a smaller amount of robot data to adapt to physical tasks. Robots are already being placed in hospitality operations, where continuous work generates demonstrations, failures and recovery data that can be fed back into both model training and mechanical revisions. OS3 develops the body, learning system and field-deployment loop together rather than selling a generic mobile manipulator for customers to programme independently.
