About Outrider
Outrider automates the repetitive movement of semi-trailers between parking rows and dock doors. Its system combines electric yard tractors with lidar, cameras and autonomous-driving software, while TrailerConnect robotically attaches and removes the trailer’s brake and electrical lines without requiring modifications to the trailer. The vehicle can identify, hitch, move, back and place trailers in mixed yard environments.
Management software receives move requests from yard or transport systems, assigns vehicles and maintains a live trailer inventory. Site infrastructure, charging and remote operational support complete the deployment, while deep-learning perception and path planning adapt to changing trailers, workers and yard traffic. Outrider has moved beyond pilot-only operation through customer deployments including Georgia-Pacific distribution yards.
